Summary

Regional Vice President of Sales leading educational sales initiatives for Carnegie Learning across Mountain and Pacific Time Zones, focusing on K-12 markets in CA, NV, and the Pacific Northwest. This highly visible role drives sales objectives and implements strategic marketing initiatives while mentoring the sales team.

Key Responsibilities: Drive sales objectives, implement marketing strategies, and mentor the PacWest sales team while overseeing expense controls and profit targets. Manage customer relationships, develop compensation and marketing plans, deliver accurate forecasts, and contribute to company strategy as a business partner.
Skills & Tools: Extensive experience in educational sales with established relationships with school district stakeholders (superintendents, curriculum directors, CAOs, etc.). Strong consultative selling abilities, team leadership, market analysis, and expertise in developing and selling complex value propositions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with advanced degree preferred; minimum 5+ years managing senior sales representatives selling consultative solutions to school districts, with 10 years total sales experience. Proven track record exceeding revenue targets and experience with independent sales representatives.
Location: Remote from Arizona, United States - must reside within Pacific or Mountain Time Zones with at least 75% travel required
Compensation: $125,000 – $175,000 / annually

Regional Vice President of Sales

What We Seek

This position requires a strong background in the educational sales industry and established relationships with key stakeholders in school districts, such as: Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Directors of Curriculum and Instruction, Chief Academic Officers, Directors of IT, Performance and Accountability Officers, Federal Program Directors and/or Directors of Teaching and Learning in CA, NV and the Pacific Northwest. This position is integral to the success of our sales programs and our K-12 product initiatives. In this highly visible position, you will work with our existing and potential customers and also with colleagues in all departments throughout our company. The Regional Vice President of Sales, PacWest reports to the Executive Vice President of Sales.

What Your Day Will Look Like

Attain the sales objectives, maintain expense controls and reach profit objectives as established for the sales team. Work with our customers, potential customers and our regional teams in all facets of the sales and implementation process for our products. Assist in the development and implementation of compensation, marketing, merchandising, advertising and sales promotion plans. Assist in the planning for conferences including speaking, logistics and determination of participation. Collect, interpret and provide market, customer contact and competitive information to the company in a timely manner. Deliver accurate forecasts to the senior management team. Provide leadership in the areas of sales best practices Mentor, monitor and coach PacWest Sales team Meet or exceed sales targets Manage T&E budgets Contribute to company strategy in a meaningful way; be a true business partner Performs other duties as assigned or apparent

What Should Be In Your Bookbag

B.S./B.A. with advanced degree preferred. Five (5) or more years of experience in managing senior sales reps selling consultative solutions to school districts Ten (10) years of sales experience Currently reside within the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones Experience with independent Sales Representatives Successful track record in exceeding revenue targets Experience rallying and training less experienced team members.
