Role Snapshot
The Chronicle of Higher Education seeks two reporting fellows for a one-year journalism fellowship (July 2026-July 2027) to produce engaging news coverage on higher education issues for recent graduates and early-career journalists.
Key Responsibilities: Fellows will produce news coverage for daily and subscriber newsletters, pitch and report stories on higher education topics, and contribute to long-form features while collaborating with various departments.
Skills & Tools: Strong writing, interviewing, and communication skills; proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with content management systems preferred; ability to work on deadline and pitch story ideas.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; at least one internship or newsroom experience preferred; passion for storytelling and higher education reporting; self-motivated and proactive mindset.
Location: New York, New York
Compensation: From $55K/yr
