Summary

Product Marketing Manager for Science programs at Amplify Education, responsible for understanding customer needs and competitive landscapes to drive marketing strategies and sales enablement. This role directly impacts the success of Amplify's science programs serving millions of students across all 50 states.

Key Responsibilities: Act as voice of the customer, develop deep knowledge of purchasing behaviors and competitive landscape, create sales and marketing collateral (one-pagers, pitch decks, competitive battle cards), and coordinate Go-to-Market strategies for product launches. Partner with Content & Growth Marketing teams to execute campaigns, drive Marketing Qualified Leads, and lead product demo and sample strategies.
Skills & Tools: Exceptional writing and communication skills, data-driven and collaborative approach, ability to manage multiple projects effectively, and expertise in developing marketing collateral and competitive analyses. Experience in educational publishing, edtech marketing, and sales enablement required.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3 years' experience in product marketing, educational publishing, or edtech marketing. Teaching experience in K-8 education is preferred.

The Product Marketing Manager, Science is a key player on a high-performing product marketing team. They view themselves as critical to the success of the product, sales, and marketing teams, and are energized by the opportunity to positively impact the lives of millions of students through Amplify’s science programs.

At Amplify, Product Marketing serves as the resident expert on the voice of the customer – understanding the problems they’re trying to solve and capturing feedback about their experiences with and expectations for our programs. The team monitors the evolving market landscape, including program selection drivers and key competitors, and builds the tools and collateral that enable our sales team to succeed. 

This role helps shape the product roadmap and contributes to customer growth and retention by drafting positioning, developing messaging, conducting in-depth competitive analyses, enabling the sales team, and collaborating with Content & Growth Marketing to drive campaigns across channels (digital, print, events). 

The ideal candidate is data-driven, collaborative, an excellent communicator and writer, and adept at prioritizing work across competing demands. This role reports to the Director, Product Marketing, Science and works cross-functionally with product, marketing, and sales colleagues to drive revenue for Amplify Science.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Act as the voice of the customer to inform product development and marketing strategy. Develop deep knowledge of customer purchasing behaviors, market trends, and the competitive landscape. Synthesize insights for internal teams and use them to share roadmaps and marketing strategies.
  • Assist in developing Go-to-Market (GTM) plans for Amplify Science. In collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams, contribute to the creation and execution of GTM strategies for product launches and enhancements.
  • Create sales and marketing collateral. Lead the development of materials such as one-pagers, brochures, guides, FAQs, pitch decks, competitive battle cards, product demos, and other key sales enablement tools.
  • Partner with the Content & Growth Marketing team to plan and execute marketing campaigns. Drive Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) by helping shape campaign strategy and writing compelling content for middle- and bottom- of- funnel efforts.
  • Lead product sample and demo strategy. Own the strategy and execution of demo and nurture experiences that allow prospects to try Amplify Science and guide them from activation to purchase. 
  • Coordinate product roadmap communication. Work closely with Product Managers to align GTM efforts with product milestones.Support product launches by developing messaging and tools that clearly convey the value of new features and editions.
  • Maintain product content across Amplify platforms. Ensure the Amplify.com website and internal Sales Hub are consistently updated with the latest messaging, collateral, and tools. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in educational publishing or edtech marketing
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with strong attention to grammar, punctuation, and tone
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across varying levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated experience writing customer facing marketing and sales materials

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior success marketing K-12 education programs
  • Teaching experience in a K–8 classroom or comparable educational setting

What we offer:

The gross salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
