Summary

The Warehouse Associate/Shipping & Receiving Coordinator oversees all shipping and receiving operations within the warehouse, ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining safety and compliance standards. This leadership role coordinates staff, manages carrier relationships, and handles both domestic and international shipments.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee shipping and receiving operations, lead and support warehouse staff, evaluate shipping methods and carriers, manage inventory systems (NetSuite), and serve as primary contact for carriers and freight providers. Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, identify process improvements, and collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and finance teams.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership and team management, logistics and inventory management expertise, knowledge of shipping methods and carrier evaluation, proficiency with inventory systems, and excellent problem-solving abilities. Must demonstrate safety compliance, process improvement mindset, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all shipping and receiving operations within the warehouse. This role ensures accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards. The Senior Coordinator provides day-to-day leadership, supports process improvements, and serves as a key point of contact for complex logistics activities, including domestic and international shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods.
  • Lead, prioritize, and support shipping and receiving staff, providing guidance and hands-on assistance as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Evaluate shipping methods and carriers (UPS, FedEx, courier, LTL, freight), plan shipment routes, and manage carrier relationships to optimize service levels and costs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers and freight providers, resolving complex logistics issues, discrepancies, and claims.
  • Oversee domestic and international shipments, including preparation and review of bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation.
  • Manage inventory systems and transactions (NetSuite), ensuring accurate receiving, shipping, serial number tracking, reporting, and warehouse organization.
  • Maintain and review shipping and receiving reports, identifying trends and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable processes while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead by example in promoting a safe work environment and supporting warehouse safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, finance, and other internal teams to align logistics activities with business needs.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and mentoring of shipping and receiving team members.
  • Support audits and inspections related to inventory, safety, and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This position is primarily located in the warehouse and may require limited desk and computer use.
