Summary

Associate Assessment Developer at Western Governors University creates and maintains objective and performance-based assessments for online, competency-based degree programs. This role is mission-driven, focusing on assessment validity, reliability, and alignment with institutional objectives in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities: Manages the design and development process for assessments including timelines and progress tracking, facilitates workshops with subject matter experts, and maintains assessment integrity standards. Communicates project status to stakeholders, identifies quality risks, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to execute assessment policies.
Skills & Tools: Strong facilitation, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Experience with assessment design, project management, and distance education is preferred.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required with a minimum of 2+ years of professional experience. Preferred qualifications include expertise in distance education, project management, and assessment design.
Location: Hybrid in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States (4 days in-office, 1 day remote at WGU headquarters)
Compensation: $58,800 – $88,200/year
